Directing over 200 tourism and related assignments
in more 25 countries in the last two decades,
David's projects have ranged from Cabinet level
advice on tourism destination issues to directing
multi-disciplinary teams of up of to 75 experts in
preparing tourism master plans. His experience has
included extensive feasibility work conducted for
domestic and international clients on hotels and
resorts, business planning for interpretive centres
and museums, heritage, cultural and nature tourism
product development, and tourism standards
programs.
Closely related to tourism is his land use planning
and development services experience, including
long range and waterfront planning for Halifax,
Canada and various downtown and waterfront
planning and development projects in Canada, the
US and the Caribbean. He is currently leading a
development team for a major destination community
in Canada.

advice to governments and the private sector on tourism sector development and land use planning and development in
Canada, the Caribbean and worldwide.
The principal, David Russell, has over 25 years experience as a tourism and planning consultant. Prior to establishing
his own practice he was Managing Director for KPMG Consulting LP's international tourism consulting practice, and
before that Partner responsible for the tourism practice for ARA Consulting Group Inc, one of Canada's leading
consulting firms specializing in international consulting services.
